SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it can be alarmed with regard to the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This SRD is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The service position made for intervention activities a higher inflow of likely beneficiaries, which read more makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to allow the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
